Actress/model Molly Sims has become the latest celebrity to launch a jewellery line after discovering she had a knack for crafting gems during the Hollywood writers strike.
The Yes Man star feared the work stoppage that brought the movie and TV industry to a standstill in 2007 and 2008 would not be resolved and she started looking for ways to earn money while she couldn’t work.
She tells More magazine, “My mum’s been collecting for years, and she’d always go to antique sales, estate sales, yard sales, so when Hollywood’s writers went on strike in 2007, I had a plan B. I really love jewellery, and I just love dressing up.”
